If you cannot connect to the studentserv there are a few things that you should check :

• You need to be either on cable / ethernet or SAE WiFi  (Guest will not work)
• Make sure your DNS is not set manually.  To check open up terminal or command prompt and type :
  

  nslookup studentserv

• If that does not return an IP address then check your DNS settings in your OS. Make sure it is not set manually. (Often people will try to use google DNS or openDNS  8.8.8.8 or 4.4.4.4 etc.. These will NOT work.
